Family Microscope
This microscope was manufactured by Leitz (a German optics company) in 1908. It was acquired by Grandarby from a physician and given to Uncle Craig the summer before he enrolled at MCG. Uncle Craig gave it to me in June of 2005.

How did you find 1908? I thought I (mis)remembered that this model appeared in 1872, though this serial number may have taken that long--- Glad you're on-site now in Augusta! This scope found service there in Histo 1975. UncaCraig former microscope owner 1974-2005 |

(I found the guy during some creative Googling.) I wonder if it's a model that first appeared in 1872 and continued being produced through 1908. |
